Trojans’ Baseball Loses One, Big Senior

Pleasantville baseball finished their 2013 season with an impressive record of 24 – 12 and went 13 – 1 in the Pride of Iowa Conference, winning their first outright conference championship in quite some time. It was a bittersweet end to the season for Coach Sheldon Card; he will be returning a huge chunk of his team come 2014, including a dynamite pitching staff. However, the Trojans’ skipper has to say goodbye to just one senior, Matt Prill, and he was a huge part of the program both on and off the field. Prill was a .426 batter this season, with four doubles, a triple and he knocked in 17 runs. Card will have three seniors on his team when the 2014 baseball season starts up again next year.
