Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars officially kick things off for the 2013 high school football season tonight. Both squads have a pair of home games; the Saints play host to Colo-Nesco and the Sabers will try to tame Essex-South Page. Colo-Nesco prematurely ended Melcher-Dallas’ season last year, and first year head coach for the Saints, Mike Horstman says that their meet-up to begin 2013 will be more about a good start rather than payback. Aaron Allspach and his Sabers have went over tape from their loss to Essex in 2012, and for tonight’s game, Allspach just wants to see his team do better than they did last year. Allspach says he feels like his team wasn’t prepared in last year’s game and hopes they are ready for tonight. Both schools kickoff tonight at 7:00 p.m.
