Two big home wins stick out for Pella Christian softball coach, Nate Van Wyk from this past summer season. He says that there were a few games where they came through in the clutch that he was the most proud of his girls. First, their home game against Newton when Tessa Howerzyl hit a walk-off homer to beat the Cardinals; The Eagles’ coach says that it was a game they were behind the whole time but kept fighting to stay in the contest. He also mentions the Pella game at home where they were also battling but persevered in the end. Pella Christian ended the year 13 – 18 – 1 overall.
