Award-winning jazz violinist Christian Howes is performing at Central College this evening. Howes has received much national acclaim, including being nominated for “Violinist of the Year.” Howes was also named among the top three jazz violinists by Jazz Times magazine. Mitch Lutch, associate professor of music at Central, says that Howes arrangements are contemporary and unique, and include electronic enhancements. Howe’s recital is free and open to the public, and will begin at 7 pm inside the Cox Snow Recital Hall.
