Central’s soccer teams continued their recent roll with a pair of victories over Monmouth College on Wednesday. The Dutch women came from behind 1 – 0 to score three straight goals in the second half to win 3 – 1. Two of those tallies went to reigning Iowa Conference women’s performer of the week, Alayna Bailey with the third coming off the foot of midfielder Alyssa Fuller. Over on the men’s side, the Dutch scored two goals and hung on to beat Monmouth 2 – 1. Aleksandar Glavas scored his seventh goal in as many games for Central in the first half, and Dillon Thornbury buried what would end up being the game-winner later on in the period. Central’s women are 5 – 2, the men are 4 – 3, and each team can leave their luggage at home for a little bit, as they open up a three-game homestand starting Saturday against Iowa Wesleyan.
