Friday’s the big day for Homecoming festivities at Knoxville and Pleasantville High Schools. Knoxville students will be wearing their class t-shirt or any black and gold to school, while Pleasantville’s pupils are encouraged to dress up in black and orange. Knoxville crowned their king and queen last night, as well; this year’s king is Zach Newendorp and the queen is Marissa Lenger. Students also raised $3,900 with the jersey auction that will go towards the football team and other school activities. The Trojans’ football team will take on the number-one ranked B-G-M Bears on the gridiron, with their Homecoming dance immediately following the contest. Knoxville’s Homecoming dance is Saturday from 7 – 10:00 p.m., where they hopefully will be celebrating a football win over Dallas Center-Grimes.
