The deadline to file for city council and mayoral seats was Thursday. There are two candidates for mayor in Knoxville. Incumbent Don Zoutte is being challenged by Brian Hatch. Six people are running for the two open seats on the Knoxville City Council. Incumbents Elsie Kemp and Dave Roozeboom will be challenged by Dawn Allspach-Kline, Will Gingerich, Mike Groenendyk, and Mike Roberts. The election is November 5.
