Knoxville, DMACC have Levy Continuations on Ballots Next Week

School Board elections are next Tuesday across the state. Though there isn’t a competitive race on boards across Marion County, there are other votes of note. In Knoxville, the physical plant levy is up for renewal. It’s proposed to stay its current level. That levy provides funds for transportation, technology, and projects like roof replacement. DMACC also has a plant fund and equipment levy. These are also continuations of current levies. DMACC spokesperson Todd Jones tells KNIA/KRLS that the continuation of the current levy costs the average homeowner less than a gallon of gasoline per month
