Knoxville, Pleasantville Begin Homecoming Week

Knoxville and Pleasantville High Schools are gearing up for their respective homecoming revelries that take place this Friday. The Panthers will take on Dallas Center-Grimes for their football game this week, but that’s only part of the festivities that will take place over the next several days. Knoxville’s homecoming will also have their parade and is capped off by the Open House at the new Knoxville Performing Arts Center on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00. Pleasantville’s homecoming parade starts at 6:00 p.m. Thursday which is followed by a Powder Puff Football game and jersey auction. The Trojans’ homecoming football game is at 7:00 p.m. Friday, followed immediately by their dance.

It’s also homecoming at Pella High this week. Today, the Little Dutch student body will begin there dress up days with underclassmen transforming into movie characters. Seniors will have a bikers vs businessman theme, and teachers will support their favorite teams. Pella will also try to stay undefeated when they host the Carlisle Wildcats Friday at 7:30pm.
