MuldrewLarry

A Des Moines man, formerly of Knoxville, was sentenced to ten years in prison today in Marion County Court after entering a guilty plea. 49 year old Larry Darnell Muldrew faced four charges of 3rd degree sexual abuse. The charges stemmed from several incidents when Muldrew had sexual contact with a girl that was 12 or 13 at the time. The incidents occurred in 2009 and 2010.

Marion County Attorney Ed Bull tells KNIA KRLS News that he would like to thank Lt. Aaron Fuller with the Knoxville Police Department for his investigative work on the nearly three year old case. Bull adds “I would also commend the child for coming forward…I continue to be amazed and awed by the courage young people have to speak publicly about horrific abuse they have suffered. The citizens of Marion County should sleep better at night knowing that this sexual predator is behind bars.” He adds that Muldrew will spend up to the next ten years of his life in prison, and then be on parole for the rest of his life.
