PCM fell to West Marshall 28-6 after getting outscored 21-0 in the second quarter. Although the Mustangs kept the game close early, Head coach Greg Bonnett wonders whether or not his squad ever felt confident they could win. Fans hoped for a good battle as both teams entered the game ranked in the top ten of class 2A, but West Marshall found the end zone three times in the second quarter to take a 21-0 halftime lead. The Mustangs did match second half scores with the visiting Trojans, but it was too little, too late as PCM was held to just 85 yards of total offense in the ballgame. Running backs Devin Chesler and Elijiah Streeter each rushed for a touchdown, while Trojan signal caller Matt Van Metre pushed two quarterback sneaks across for scores. The Mustangs finish non-district play 2-1, and will now hit the road for back-to-back district games at C-M-B, and Interstate 35, respectively.
