One of the last schools to officially get their volleyball season underway, the Twin Cedars’ girls and first year head coach, Mike Strasko, are making the most of their time until their season opener. They’ve had a few weeks of practice so far, and in the early going, Coach Strasko says that his team has really bonded with another very well, and says it should help them when they do get their season going later this week. Strasko says that it’s always a huge plus to see girls that get along, and so much goes into comradery and understanding one another. He adds that it’s a lot easier on him coaching-wise so that he doesn’t have to deal with what he calls “extra-curriculars” and just focus on getting better as a team. The Sabers’ coach stressed that his girls are very focused right now on what they need to be doing. Twin Cedars’ girls kick-off the season this Thursday at home against Moravia.
