Battling the elements later on in the day last night, both Pleasantville and Twin Cedars’ cross country squads, in just their second meet of the season, already are showing improvements. The two schools were at Lake Keomah yesterday, and for Coach Aaron Fichter’s Trojans, he says that things went well. He didn’t have a runner place in the top ten, but Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that the improvement is there; in fact, a majority of the team had personal bests. Brittney Roby finished 15th on the girls’ side for Coach Alan Stewart and his Sabers. Roby had a time of 17:52, and Kaylee Bruns was the second fastest on the team with a 20:19 time. Pleasantville next races this Monday at Ballard, and Twin Cedars heads to Edmundson this Tuesday.
