Pleasantville football hits the bus for their first road test of the 2013 season tonight at Martensdale – St. Mary’s. The Blue Devils won the “rivalry” game last year, 46 – 21, but bring a younger team to the field this season. Last week, they ran for over 350 yards and their quarterback, Connor Dunn, was effective through the air, going 9-for-11 passing for 106 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. The Trojans on the other hand are coming off a frustrating defeat at the hands of Eddyville-Blakesburg in overtime. Pleasantville will look to run the ball against a younger defense, and Coach Gabe Bakker says that the success they have starts up front. Tonight’s non-district contest will be streamed live on KNIAKRLS.com with Kris Krug and Ed Bull voicing the action. Pregame starts at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at seven. There will also be a delayed broadcast of the game on AM 1320 KNIA immediately following the KNIA/KRLS Football Friday Night Radio Scoreboard Show.
