The Central men’s and women’s soccer teams did not allow a goal and even tied a record in their contests last night. The Dutch women went to a draw with Nebraska Wesleyan and recorded their eighth shutout of the season, which ties a school record. Both squads were nearly equal in shots; Central had 12 and Nebraska Wesleyan came out with 11. Over on the men’s side, the Dutch scored twice in the second half and also shut out Nebraska Wesleyan 2 – 0. The goals came from Spencer Boeyink and Mark Hentschel, while goalie Tim Maggard was able to fend off five shots on goal to record the shutout. The men are now 7 – 6 – 1 overall and the women hold a 9 – 4 – 2 mark. Each squad will play at Buena Vista for a conference game this Saturday.
