Central Tries for Two Straight this Afternoon

Winning in dramatic fashion last Saturday, the Central football team returns in front of their home crowd this afternoon, looking to topple Luther in another Iowa Conference bout. It’s a classic match-up pitting the powerful running attack of Luther against the brick wall rush defense of Central. The Norse lead the league in yards on the ground, while the Dutch have the league’s best defense against the run. Coach Jeff McMartin’s squad will have its hands full with the leading rushing attack in the Iowa Conference. The Norse average 300 yards on the ground per game, and have only thrown the ball 43 times this entire season. You can hear today’s game live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Trevor Castle and George Wares on the call, and Justin Webster providing sideline reports. Pregame starts at 12:40 p.m. with kick-off at one.
