cut line

At approximately 11:30 this morning a backhoe run by a member of the construction crew working on the Knoxville Streetscape project inadvertently cut into and partially severed the phone and internet cable that runs into the Marion County Courthouse. Offices in the courthouse are currently without internet and phone service. The fiberoptic connection that conveys information to the Treasurer’s and DOT Offices was not impacted, and those services are still in operation–although without email or phone access. Windstream technicians are on scene, and they tell KNIA and KRLS News that service should be restored by 4PM. The Marion County Courthouse remains open, and available for local government services.
