Marion County Democrats will host Des Moines Water Works CEO and General Manager Bill Stowe tonight from 6:30 to 8, at the Grand Theater. Stowe will lead an informative discussion of the water quality crisis in Iowa, and how we can be instrumental in the pursuit of clean water. Stowe is dealing with extraordinary costs to clean up high nitrate levels in his city’s water supply from the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers. As the Des Moines River flows south, it becomes our beautiful Lake Red Rock.
