The Knoxville Football Squad closes out the 2013 season by hosting Oskaloosa. The Panthers are coming off a loss to Norwalk last Friday in a game that receiver Ross Shelford set the single game record for receptions with eight. This will be Shelford’s and the rest of the senior class’ last game as a Panther and the last time they will enter and leave Ken Locke Stadium as a player. Coach Troy Rider says this senior class should be commended for sticking it out through thick and thin. Rider says this group made positive choices and likely gained respect not only from the fans, but also more importantly their teammates. He says the current freshman and sophomore classes have started to look up to the seniors and how they lead the team. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 KNIA and streamed live at kniakrls.com with Derek Cardwell and Mike Cunningham starting with the pregame at seven and the kickoff at 7:30.
