This week’s U.S. Drought Monitor is virtually identical to last week. Marion, Mahaska, and Jasper counties all remain in the 33% of the state suffering severe drought conditions. Another third of the state is suffering moderate conditions, while 21% is abnormally dry. 2% is extreme, and 11% of Iowa is no longer suffering drought at all.
