With a chance to force a three-way tie at the top of Eight Man District 5, Melcher-Dallas’ football team stayed close with H-L-V in the first half, but the Warriors turned it up in the last 24 minutes to handily win 56 – 14 over the Saints. Twin Cedars won their game via forfeit by Seymour, so Melcher-Dallas drops to third place in the district with a record of 4 – 2 overall and 3 – 2 in league play. The Saints will head to Wayne next week while the Sabers head to Woodbine for a non-district contest in Week Seven.
