A team that has vastly improved from a year ago, the Pleasantville football squad will try to sweep the last three games of the season like they did in 2012, starting with a visit from rival Southeast Warren tonight. The Trojans’ playoff hopes are miniscule, but they still have a mathematical chance of slipping into the number four slot in Class A District 6. Last week, missed tackles were a problem for the Trojans; resulting in big gains and even a punt return for a touchdown. This week in practice, Coach Bakker preached being physical to his defense. The Warhawks bring a rushing attack led by Keetan Lawler who averages around six yards per carry and has scored five touchdowns. Tonight’s Week Seven contest can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com with Kris Krug and Ed Bull on the call. Pregame coverage is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at seven.
