Twin Cedars punctuated an impressive regular season, and Melcher-Dallas couldn’t hang on to their lead in area Eight Man District 5 football action last night. Twin Cedars walloped Tri-County Thornburg, 62 – 12. Meanwhile, Melcher-Dallas had an early advantage over Meskwaki Settlement, but were defeated 38 – 34. The Sabers end the regular season with a 9 – 1 record and are the number two seed out of District 5. Unfortunately, the Saints’ loss drops them out of the playoffs, as they were tied with Meskwaki Settlement to start the night. The Saints end their season 5 – 4 overall. The Sabers will host Lamoni in round one of the playoffs this Wednesday.
