Pleasantville’s Beggars Night is tonight from 6-8. Bussey and Tracy trick-or-treats are Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30. Knoxville and Melcher-Dallas Beggars Night is also Thursday, from 6 to 8. Knoxville Police Department Lt. Aaron Fuller would like to remind little treat seekers and their parents that dressing up the costumes with reflective tape or arm bands, or wearing glow sticks, necklaces or bracelets will aid with visibility. He also reminds kids and parents to inspect candy carefully, and don’t eat anything that has been cut, torn or otherwise opened.

Kids will also be crisscrossing streets and sidewalks in Pella, Monroe, and Leighton tomorrow night. Trick or Treating events will be held in Pella and Monroe from 6pm to 8pm, while Leighton will start at 5:30pm and wrap up at 7:30pm. Pella Regional will also hand out candy in the Long Term Care Activity room from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Lt. Paul Haase of the Pella Police Department says that children should stay in groups, older kids should consider the consequences of pranks before property damage is done, and adults need to plan ahead so they don’t drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
