The Little Hawkeye Conference in volleyball this past season was extremely competitive. Three teams finished with at least five league wins, three more were 3 – 4 in the conference and the remaining two each recorded at least one win. Pella stepped up early on in the conference schedule and flexed their collective muscles and raced out to a 6 – 0 record while only losing two sets in those six matches. Though they lost to Newton to get a share of the conference title, Coach Catie Brand says she’s still happy with how her girls competed within the Little Hawkeye Conference this year. The Lady Dutch had defeated Newton in tournament play earlier in the season, and made it all the way to the regional finals where they lost to Indianola in four sets.
