Central Canned Goods Drive a Success, Looks to Blood Drive

Associate athletics director, Alicia O’Brien tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that their canned goods drive held during Saturday’s regular season football finale against Coe was a success. O’Brien says that the turnout was very good, thanks to their social media blitz, and was helped by a pair of generous donations that came in advance. Central and the Student Athletic Advisory Committee have partnered with the Hirta Bus Company to help deliver the canned goods to kitchens in Pella and Knoxville. The next community service project the SAAC is sponsoring will be a blood drive this Thursday at the Graham Annex from 10:00 – 4:00 p.m. The SAAC is co-sponsoring the event with LifeServe Blood Center. Walk-ins are welcome to the event.
