The Central women’s basketball team had some hot hands last night, shooting nearly 50% from the field in their 95 – 78 win over Blackburn. Fifty of those points came off the hands of players from the bench, led by Kaitlin Stump who recorded a double-double: 21 points and ten rebounds. Bry Pierce, Kenzie Vander Molen and Rachel Evans also found double digits in the points column for the Dutch. Central improves to 2 – 0 on the year and will next play this Saturday in Forest City against Waldorf. Meanwhile, the men’s basketball team gets back to the court tonight, also looking to move to 2 – 0, when they host Eureka. You can hear that game live on KNIAKRLS.com under the Radio Audio Media Player with Cory Houser and Justin Webster on the call. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. with tip-off scheduled for seven.
