The Central women’s basketball team has prided itself on being very good at rebounding the ball, both offensively and defensively over the past couple of seasons. The Dutch led the Iowa Conference two seasons ago in rebounding margin, and were among the top in the league last year. Height is a problem this season for the Dutch, but that has not stopped them from grabbing as many boards as they can; specifically, they out-rebounded Nebraska Wesleyan this past Tuesday, a squad that had a distinct height advantage, and Coach Chelsea Petersen says her team has been able to use their quickness to grab more balls off the glass. Central’s in the midst of a four-game winning streak and will try to push it to five on Saturday at home against Presentation, South Dakota.
