With their season unfortunately coming to an end at the State Qualifying Meet, the Pella Christian cross country team still showed vast improvement from the beginning of the year to the end. Mainly dealing with more runners that had never ran before than with ones that had, Coach Jocelyn Meinders had a challenging task at her hands of molding the inexperienced athletes into a team that could perhaps get some individuals qualified for Fort Dodge. Meinders says all of her runners made huge strides, and she’s already looking forward to the 2014 season. The Eagles will lose just one senior off the team, a JV runner, and should return the entire varsity teams on both the boys’ and girls’ sides.
