Iowa State Savings Bank presented a $20,000 donation to Knoxville’s Grand Theater Foundation yesterday, nearly four weeks ahead of the December 15 deadline to purchase the contents of the Grand Theater building. Fridley Theaters will donate the building to the foundation, which will allow the Foundation to proceed with further fundraising and renovations. Iowa State Savings Bank CEO Stu Job says “we’re very excited about having the Grand Theater return to downtown Knoxville…and we’re pleased to contribute to the foundation and reinvest in our downtown.” Dylan Morse, with the Grand Theater Foundation, tells KNIA KRLS News that the total fundraising goal is $500,000.
