Today is Black Friday. Knoxville Police Department Chief Dan Losada offers some shopping safety tips to keep those gifts you buy from going to someone else. He says always lock your car doors while you’re shopping. He says thieves target unlocked cars for the easy grab before they’ll go to the work to break windows. Hide purchases, either in the trunk or under a blanket in the back of the car. If at all possible, drop your items off at home before you go shopping for more. He says electronics are always high on the list; video games, iPads, laptops, smart phones, just to name a few.
