Marion County Republicans presented a salute to Marion County Veterans Friday morning at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. The event featured a Presentation of Colors and Pledge of Allegiance by Boy Scout Troop #377, the National Anthem and a patriotic tribute by Katie Davis and the Northstar Elementary Folk Guitar Band. Also featured were remarks of respect given by Senator Ken Roozenboom and a medley of Armed Forces. Marion County Legislators closed the event by presenting pins to all veterans in attendance. More than 180 veterans, students, boy scouts and citizens were on hand at the event.
