Eric Karr, head coach of the PCM cross country team, spent this entire year preparing his team for the future. Karr’s teams were filled with youth, with only a few seniors on the squad. The Mustangs’ coach says that he has some very talented eighth graders coming up who were able to see PCM’s lone state qualifier, Rachel Stafford, run in Fort Dodge last Saturday. It was very important to get a Mustang to the state meet, not only to help build excitement for the program, but to also raise the level of expectations for where PCM cross country is headed. Coach Karr says he’s looking forward to the 2014 season, but is also excited for his first season as head coach of the PCM boys’ track and field team this spring.
