Poor free throw shooting and a low scoring second half were the big factor’s in PCM’s 52 – 34 loss to Nevada in girls’ basketball action on Tuesday. The Mustangs went 9-for-27 from the charity stripe for the game, but were only down by five at halftime, 22 – 17. PCM could only score six points in the third quarter, allowing Nevada to close the door with a big lead early on. Abbi Gilson scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Mustangs, and Lexi Kain added seven points of her own. PCM falls to 0 – 2 on the season and will try to rebound this Tuesday night with a game against Gilbert.
