Monday night, the City of Pella and the Comprehensive Plan committee hosted a workshop with the community to discuss their vision for Pella. The meeting included a brief presentation followed by small group discussions on economic development and tourism, improving our infrastructure, parks and recreation, housing, being both pedestrian, and bike friendly, and public services and facilities. George Wesselhoft, Planning and Zoning Director for the City of Pella, says that the process is fluid and anyone wanting to be involved can do so at RDGUSA.com/Pella. Wesselhoft adds that this will take about 10 months to complete, and the city goes through the process every 5 to 7 years.
