Today at the Pella Public Library, area Hmong residents will showcase their cultural arts and crafts. The event will serve as both an informative display to residents outside of the Hmong community, and also an educational tool for upcoming generations from within their culture. Artwork will be displayed at the library throughout the month of November, and a presentation will take place at 10:30 this morning with local Hmong residents in attendance, wearing traditional clothing. A video titled “Pella: A Place of Refuge” will also be shown highlighting the Hmong journey to south central Iowa.
