The Tour of Stores was held last night in downtown Pella. Local businesses provided snacks and refreshments while carolers strolled the streets. A kids choir performed before the tree lighting took place on the Tulip Toren. Teresa Ulferts, Marketing Manager at Marion County Bank says they sold $100,000 worth of Pella Bucks at a 10% discount in 78 minutes, tying the record set last year. Many local merchants will be offering additional discounts to those spending those discounted Pella Bucks during the holiday shopping season to encourage citizens to shop local.
