Involved in several regular season meets where they saw several larger schools, the Pella Christian cross country team looked to one course that they were able to show their skills and how far they had progressed as runners. The Montezuma meet in early October is the one that stood out the most to the young athletes that comprised the Eagles’ team in 2013. Coach Jocelyn Meinders says it was a fun meet for her runners, because they were able to come away with several awards while racing on a tough course with schools that were more their size. Meinders should have all of her varsity runners back for 2014, as there were no seniors in the group.
