Tuttle Cabin Front View

This year’s Pella Tour of Homes will feature a historic house that is the oldest residence in a 20 mile radius of it’s location at 607 Lincoln Street in Pella. The Tuttle Cabin, owned since the 1970’s by Gail Kirby, will be featured along with four newer homes. The cabin was built in 1843 by Thomas and Nancy Tuttle, and is where the Dutch met for lunch to discuss the acquisition of the land that now includes the city of Pella. The cabin is also where the final deed was signed for the city. Tickets for the Tour of Homes are $15, and are available at the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau office at 818 Washington Street, or at Cornerstone, Best of Thymes, Pella Hometown Variety, Thistles, and Topaz Hair Styling Salon.
