Two Pella Christian students have been selected to the 2013 All-State Band and Chorus Festival. Benjamin Bouwkamp, son of Daryl and LeAnn Bouwkamp of Pella, will participate with 601 other members chosen for the choir. Leslie Pence, daughter of Jeff and Debby Pence of Newton, was selected to the 281 piece band. Approximately 17% of all auditions are selected to the All-State ensembles. The musicians will rehearse in Ames on Friday and Saturday November 22nd and 23rd, and then perform at 7:30 pm on the 23rd in Hilton Coliseum. The concert will also be rebroadcast on Iowa Public Television at a later date.
