Coach Alan Stewart of the Twin Cedars’ boys’ basketball team says that his team has had problems finding the bottom of the net in the first few weeks of the season. That problem seemed to alleviate itself last Friday when his Sabers were able to topple a state tournament team from a year ago, Ankeny Christian, 69 – 65. Stewart says that victory was a very timely win. Twin Cedars will enter 2014 with a 4 – 4 record and have dates with Iowa Christian Academy and Diagonal to begin the second “half” of their schedule starting January 7.
