Pella Christian’s boys’ basketball team fought off a furious fourth quarter comeback from West Marshall last night, and prevailed 52 – 50. The Eagles were able to get out to as much as a 15-point lead at times, but the Trojans fought back, getting to within one with less than ten seconds left, but couldn’t hit the go-ahead bucket. Nate Haveman had a double-double in his first ever varsity start, with 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Sebastian Baugh had ten points. The Eagles’ boys will play this Friday to begin a stretch of four road games in five days with a trip to Dallas Center-Grimes. Joining them will be the 2 – 0, Eagles’ girls, but first, they must do battle with Eddyville-Blakesburg tonight. That game is scheduled to tip-off in Eddyville at 7:30 p.m.
