The youthful Pella Christian girls’ basketball team is handling pressure at the varsity level a little bit better each game through nine contests. After committing over 30 turnovers against Eddyville-Blakesburg, they were able to cut that total in half against a top-5 ranked Dallas Center-Grimes team. The Eagles’ gals haven’t faced many high-ranked squads this season, and that’s the reason Coach Kevin Van Maanen says they may start panicking when they get pressure put on them while handling the ball. Pella Christian is 4 – 5 at the Christmas break, with a stiff test against Pella looming on the other side of the new year.
