It was a game to forget for the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team Saturday afternoon. The ladies fell to Unity Christian, 68 – 23. The Crusaders raced out to a quick lead, scoring more than 20 points in the first quarter while holding the Eagles to the single digits. Lauren Jungling and Tessa Howerzyl each had eight points for Pella Christian. Levi Jungling’s pair of three pointers down the stretch helped the Eagles’ boys win 49 – 45 over Unity Christian. Coltin Collins led the way with 14 points, Sebastian Baugh and Jungling each had 11. The girls drop to 4 – 5, the boys improve to 5 – 3, and they are each done until after the Christmas and New Year’s break, to come back and face Pella High on January 7.
