Knoxville Middle School has a program called Sprints, which is similar to Character Counts in other districts. The groups of 12 to 15 kids get together with their Sprints group twice a week and come up with ways to show character. Mary Miller, with the middle school, says that Sprints groups have been collecting food in support of the KNIA KRLS Marion County Food Drive for several years.. The 6th Grade student advisory group met Tuesday afternoon to load the collected items into the Little Big Red Radio. There are approximately 390 participating students at Knoxville Middle School.
