The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad held a ten point lead with just over four minutes remaining, then Albia closed out the game on a 15-4 run to stun the Panthers last night 44-to-43. Knoxville held the lead for most of the game and forced the Lady Dees into 25 turnovers. Meredith Cunningham led Knoxville with nine points. The boys fell to the Demons 72-59, but held a 39-33 lead just two minutes into the second half. However, Albia went on a 14-0 run and never trailed. Coach Jeff Larson said one of the keys was Albia getting needed rebounds especially offensive boards. Bryce Zoutte led a balanced attack with 13 points. The Knoxville girls are 1-1 on the season while the boys are 0-1 and both teams will travel to Grinnell on Friday.
