On today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville, Karen Overgaard visits Marion County Naturalist Marla Mertz at Cordova Park at Lake Red Rock. Mertz talks about the snowy owl, which is making an appearance in Iowa. The birds’ natural habitat is tundra; so the rolling hills of Iowa with farm fields and trees is foreign to them. Mertz explains the significance of the bird to Marion County.
