The Central women are off to a smooth 7 – 2 start to their season, and they are doing it by playing good basketball. Not only are they forcing their opponents into more turnovers (17) than they are committing themselves (15), they are also staying away from foul trouble with the new emphasis on the hand check this year. Winning in those two areas are important, because as Interim coach, Chelsea Petersen, says her Dutch is a talented team with very little room for very many mistakes. The Dutch are in preparation for a nice trip down south to the Caribbean to face a pair of teams in Puerto Rico.
