Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars had opposite days on the hardwood on Tuesday. The Saints were beaten pretty handily by Grandview Park Baptist; the girls lost 53 – 26 and the boys fell 72 – 28. Kaylee Houston and Maddie Roland each had six points for the Saints’ girls to lead them in scoring, while Troy Lee led the boys with nine. Twin Cedars picked up two victories over Seymour; the Sabers’ gals won 43 – 33 and the boys demolished the Warriors, 64 – 21. Coach Alan Stewart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was happy with the team’s defense last night. Otis Roby and Hunter Embray unofficially each came up with 14 points. Melcher-Dallas’ girls are now 2 – 3, the boys are 2 – 2; Twin Cedars’ girls improve to 2 – 1 and the boys are now 2 – 2. The Saints play host to Southeast Warren on Thursday and the Sabers are at Moulton-Udell this Friday.
