There was freezing rain outside, but the Melcher-Dallas girls’ basketball made sure it was raining buckets inside, as they took down Seymour, 59 – 18. Not one player for the Saints was in double figures, but the scoring was very balanced; Megan Roush, Hannah Wilson and MacKenzie Suntken all had nine points and the team came up with 21 steals. The boys had a rough night, losing by the slimmest of margins, 60 – 59. The Saints’ girls are now 5 – 4, the boys drop to 2 – 6 and they’ll be back in action tonight at Murray.
